As part of a restructuring plan, Poundland plans to liquidate up to 68 locations and perhaps close another 150.
Compared to the approximately 800 locations it currently manages, the retailer anticipates that its portfolio will shrink to between 650 and 700 locations. It follows the chain’s £1 sale to Laura Ashley’s previous owners, Gordon Brothers, an investment business.
